Gordana started as a makeup artist over 20 years ago, working predominantly in television and eventually exclusively with Channel Nine. She has also worked with powerhouse production houses Disney Entertainment, Sony and Twentieth Century Fox, and her incredible talents has seen her working with Tom Hiddleston, Paul Rudd, Tara Reid, Ashton Kutcher and more.

What are the risks?

While cosmetic tattooing has become increasingly popular for its ability to enhance features semi-permanently, it’s essential to be aware of any potential risks associated with the procedure. While these risks are not universal and many individuals undergo cosmetic tattooing without issues, here are some potential concerns:
  • Infection: Any time the skin is punctured, there is a risk of infection. We use proper sterilisation, best hygiene practices follow strict sanitation protocols, including using disposable needles and sterilised equipment, to minimise the risk around infections.
  • Allergic Reactions: Some individuals may be allergic to the pigments used in cosmetic tattooing. Allergic reactions can range from mild irritation to more severe responses. We will perform a patch test before the full procedure can help identify potential allergies.
  • Scarring: Improper technique or aftercare can lead to scarring. Scar tissue may alter the appearance of the tattoo and, in some cases, be permanent.
  • Uneven Pigment Fading: The longevity of cosmetic tattoos can vary from person to person. Factors such as skin type, sun exposure, and the quality of pigments used can affect how quickly the tattoo fades. In some cases, pigments may fade unevenly, requiring touch-ups.
  • Changes in Pigment Colour: Over time, the colour of the tattoo may change. Exposure to sunlight, certain skincare products, or individual skin characteristics can cause pigments to shift in hue.
