Growth Factor Sydney

Natural, non-surgical treatments such as Growth Factor are fast becoming the preferred choice for men and women who want to improve the appearance of their skin without the need for surgery or foreign substances.

Growth Factor Sydney

Growth Factor is a skin rejuvenation treatment that uses the natural proteins in your body to slow the ageing process. To improve skin texture and elasticity, reduce pores and promote a more youthful complexion, you’re going to need more than topical skin care products. As we age, it’s natural for skin cell regeneration and collagen production to slow down but advancements in cosmetic medicine are making it possible to achieve healthier, suppler skin.

What concerns can Growth Factor help to address and what patients need to know.

  • Fine Lines, Wrinkles and Skin Plumping: Growth Factor treatment can help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while plumping the skin for a more youthful appearance.
  • Skin Texture and Pigmentation Improvement: The treatment contributes to pore tightening and improved appearance of uneven skin pigmentation, resulting in refined skin texture and even skin tone.
  • Scar Reduction and Hair Growth Stimulation: The visibility of acne and surgical scars can be reduced using this treatment. It also aids in stimulating and promoting hair growth for patients struggling with hair loss.
  • Non-Surgical Approach for Overall Rejuvenation: Growth Factor provides a non-surgical, minimally invasive option for overall skin and hair rejuvenation.
  • Multiple Sessions for Desired Outcome: To achieve the optimal results, most patients will require 4 treatments every 7 to 10 days. Top-up treatments once or twice a year are also recommended to maintain the results.
  • Suitable for All Skin Types: Growth Factor treatments can benefit all skin types and tones, offering versatility in its application.
  • Mild Side Effects: After treatment, patients may experience mild swelling, redness, and occasionally bruising for 2 to 4 days, which can typically be concealed with makeup.
  • Wide Range of Treatment Areas: In addition to the face, Growth Factor treatments can be used for addressing skin concerns on the neck, décolletage, and hands, broadening the scope of its application.

What to expect

To create your unique Growth Factor formula, a few small samples of your blood will need to be withdrawn and incubated for 6 – 9 hours using a specialised scientific technique.

Following the incubation period, the plasma will be separated from the red blood cells, leaving you with a unique formula that is filled with growth factors and cytokines. This formula can be used immediately or stored for future treatments.

If you are ready to administer the Growth Factor formula, the plasma will be added to a microneedling device which will penetrate the deeper layers of your skin, ensuring these powerful growth factors can get to work at a deep level. Since all of the ingredients in your Growth Factor formula are naturally found in your body, there is no risk of an allergic reaction.

Following a Growth Factor treatment, your skin’s natural regeneration and repair process will be activated and collagen production will increase, which will gradually rejuvenate your skin.

Growth Factor treatment general risks and complications may include

  • Injection site reactions: Some patients may experience swelling, redness, tenderness, bruising or slight discomfort at the site of the injections. These are generally mild and temporary.
  • Infection: As with any procedure involving skin penetration, there is a risk of infection, although it is minimal due to the sterile technique used and the fact that your own blood products are being used.
  • Allergic reactions: Very rarely, patients may have an allergic reaction to the anticoagulant used in the blood collection tube.
  • Inconsistent results: Everyone’s body is different and results may vary from person to person. Not everyone will see the same level of improvement and some people may need additional treatments to achieve their desired results.
  • Scarring: Though extremely rare in cosmetic injections, there is always a risk of scarring from any procedure that penetrates the skin.
  • Temporary skin discoloration: There may be temporary hyperpigmentation (darkening) or hypopigmentation (lightening) of the treated area.
  • Unsatisfactory results: The treatment may not achieve the desired improvement in skin tone, texture, or appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Possible transmission of disease: Even though Growth Factor treatment uses your own blood, there's a theoretical risk of disease transmission if the clinic does not follow correct sterilisation procedures.
