Do you suffer from chronic sinus infections, facial pain and sinus-related headaches?

Despite the long-term discomfort of symptoms, treating sinusitis is now simple, safe and fast.

With assessment, surgery and recovery overseen by one of Australia’s leading surgeons, Dr Zacharia walks patients through every step from consultation to operation to discuss available treatment options and likely results to look forward to.

How is treatment done?

By itself, sinusitis can be treated through the nostrils providing limited – if no – bruising or scarring at all for our patients.

Sinusitis can be treated by:

  • Septoplasty: This involves correcting and/or straightening the septum – the bone and cartilage that divide the nostrils
  • Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery: Sinus openings are modified to improve drainage and prevent further infections
  • Turbinate reduction: Removal of excess allergic tissue to improve nasal airway

In addition, sinusitis treatment can be paired with anti-snoring and aesthetically pleasing rhinoplasty procedures – bringing even more improvements to quality of life.

What should I expect post-surgery?

Patients should expect to remain under hospital observation 24 hours post-surgery, allowing for a week off normal duties to recover.
While internal swelling and congestion takes several days to subside, patients undergoing sinusitis treatment experience among the fastest recovery times – with improved airway activity reported as early as a week after surgery.
