Nose Job Surgery

Cosmetic procedures that target the face can help patients achieve a natural, younger appearance. Many areas can be targeted by nose job surgery. Here are list of nose job surgeries, which are performed by Dr Michael Zacharia

The term Rhinoplasty surgery refers to plastic surgery of the nose, often known as a ‘Nose Job’. It is a plastic surgery procedure for correcting, reconstructing or resizing the nose for a desired look, or restoring the functionality of the nose.

It is the most complicated of cosmetic procedures, as both functionality and aesthetics need to be addressed. Therefore, making the right choice of an experienced surgeon is important. The nose is both the centre of the face and the focal point when interacting with another person, so confidence in one’s nose is imperative for confidence.

Revision Rhinoplasty

Revision Rhinoplasty refers to any second or third ‘nose job’ that is done in order to revise or improve upon a previous Rhinoplasty surgery. It is also sometimes called Secondary Rhinoplasty. These revisional procedures are to correct cosmetic deficiencies and/or unsatisfactory results that arose from (or at least weren’t addressed by) the previous surgery. In Dr. Zacharia’s practice, 50% of the rhinoplasty surgery are revisions. A high percentage of these revisions are performed to fix issues created in primary rhinoplasty by other physicians.

Septoplasty is a surgical procedure to correct and straighten a deviated septum. The nasal septum is the wall between the nostrils that separates the two nasal passages, supporting the nose and directing airflow. The septum is made of thin bone in the back and cartilage in the front. A deviated septum occurs when the cartilage or bone is not straight. A crooked septum can make breathing difficult, potentially leading to snoring and sleep apnea.

Sinus Surgery

Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS) is the most common surgical method used to treat sinus infections, in order to restore sinus ventilation and normal functionality.

Nasal Fracture

A nasal fracture commonly referred to, as a broken nose is a break or crack in a bone or in the cartilage in a person’s nose. These breaks most often occur over the bridge of the nose or in the septum (the area that divides the nostrils.) This usually occurs after an injury and can produce problems with appearance and breathing.
